Baldwinsville Boy Scout Troop 114 went XC skiing at Sunnycrest on 1/17 & 1/31. On 1/17, we had 14 scouts and on 1/31 we had 9 scouts along with parents and siblings.

Sunnycrest Park has 2.5 miles of groomed Cross Country Ski trails right in the heart of Syracuse! Trails are maintained by the Sunnycrest Park Association and the City of Syracuse Parks Department.

HOURS OF OPERATION (WINTER):

Trails open 7 days a week.
Ski Lodge open 10-5 Sat. and 10-5 Sun.
Ice Rink open all week.

Rentals of ski equipment available weekends at the Ski Lodge.
Adult rentals $5 per set. Free rentals to youth, high school students, Seniors, Fire and Police Departments! No charge for entrance to the park nor for using the trails.

BILL KOCH YOUTH SKI CLUB

The Sunnycrest Park Association provides cross-country ski instruction for youth 5-13 years old.  The Bill Koch club provides a weekly ski practice for youth wanting to become more accomplished cross-country skiers.  Beginner ski instruction is also provided on Sundays, snow permitting.  Youth must join NYSSRA (NY State XC Ski org) or sign City of Syracuse waiver.

SUNNYCREST SKI TRAILS

Marked trails start at the Sunnycrest Ski Lodge. Parking is available at the Ski Lodge (take Burnet to Hickok to Caleb) and at the Ice Rink (at the end of Robinson St.)
