Syracuse Snowshoe 5k

Syracuse Snowshoe 5k Part 2, will be held at Sunnycrest Park on Feb. 14th 2010. Registration will start at 8:30am with race start time at 10am. Registration is 5$ and if you need to rent a pair of snowshoes is an additional 5$.

Recapping Syracuse Snowshoe 5k Part 1:

On Sunday, January 17, 2010, the City of Syracuse – Department of Parks, Recreation and Youth and Fleet Feet Sports helped to put on the Syracuse Snowshoe 5K. Members of the Sunnycrest Park Association Board of Directors and the public were on hand to cheer the race participants on. Mother Nature cooperated by providing snow, some sunshine and milder conditions for all those present. It was a great race!

Snowshoe, Cross-Country Skiing and Nature Walks are all activities that take place in Sunnycrest Park during the winter months. The Sunnycrest Park Association has helped to turn Sunnycrest Park into a true four-season park that provides year round enjoyment for all those that use it.
